High Peak Liberal Democrats
MEP Catherine Bearder expressed her delight as Lib Dem Members turned out in force in Derby today in support of the first of the Pro European Campaign Rally Regional Launches. Hailing it as a great success.
Delegates heard speeches from Catherine Bearder MEP; Lord Scriven; Iain Gill, the EUReferendum National Director for the Lib Dems; Michael Mullany, the Bosworth Parliamentary Spokesperson; and a speech from EU Referendum Champion for the East Midlands Cllr Phil Knowles.
"The workshop presentations are a work in progress and the themes will be expanded upon, and added to, over the coming weeks. The social media section of the campaign support here in the East Midlands is being prepared by Becky Thomas . Adam Wain is working on the Regions Pro EU Referendum website. Both of these will offer support and information over the coming months to members in the East Midlands and Pro EU supporters.
The EU Referendum will, as outlined by Regional Chair Cllr Stuart Bray, be a key section of the upcoming Regional Conference. The campaign working group will be working hard to support our members across the Region and importantly. All of the points and suggestions made by members at today's event in Derby will be forwarded to the campaign team in Brussels and London.
This is the vote we cannot see lost and the East Midlands Team are determined to take the campaign to all corners of the Region urging voters to vote to Stay In"
