High Peak Liberal DemocratsI have now organised a Churches Together meeting to debate the EU referendum and it would be great if some of you could come.
Where: King's Cliffe Parish Church (Oundle Deanery)
When: Tuesday, 3. May 2016. 7:30 pm
Details here
The debate will be 'neutral' (I know the vicar, she will be neutral) but it would be nice to have your support. I do not expect supporters from far, far away but Northamptonshire, South Linc, Rutland are all in 30 to 45 minutes travelling distances. And in the past the Inners were under-represented in the audience. So take this as an advance warning to pencil 3. May 2016 in your diary and I hope you will be able to come.
Of course I will keep you posted about the development. (A nice way to say that I will remind you later)
Also, this is a format which could be replicated but a word of caution. I have been working on this since before last Christmas. Churches Together are not moving with a great speed. If we do want to use them and their format (and I think we should) please start talking to them now. Official website for Churches Together in Britain and Ireland is https://ctbi.org.uk/. CTBI husting site is here:https://ctbielections.org.uk. Where you can, call the local vicar, the best starting point.
Please let me know how you get on. I can now provide speakers for both sides.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
George Smid
