A life-long senior Conservative businessman walked into the Tory by-election HQ in Witney and told party staff that he could no longer support them.
Instead, Geoff Lee has been knocking on doors for Liberal Democrat Liz Leffman. He was a senior international business manager responsible for negotiating hundreds of millions of pounds of trade deals for British industry.
Geoff Lee said: "I no longer see the Conservatives as the party of business. Hard Brexit is really Wreck-sit.
"Having seen both candidates at local hustings, it is clear that Liz towers above the much less experienced Conservative candidate."
