History has shown us that by-elections can change government policy in a big way. In the 1990s, Lib Dem wins in Eastbourne and Ribble Valley helped kill the poll tax. In 2008, Gordon Brown's plan to scrap the 10p tax rate hitting low paid workers was dropped after a by-election defeat in Crewe.
This is the Brexit by-election and a Lib Dem win will force the government to think again on its hard Brexit plans.
We have a plan to finish this campaign on a high and deliver the win that will change our country. To deliver that plan, I need you to put your hand in your pocket again.
