High Peak Liberal DemocratsWe have an excellent venue which meets requirements we have adopted based on attendee feedback. This includes all sessions in closed rooms to improve acoustics and a larger footprint to allow for an improved exhibition space and break out area.
We are putting on a variety of sessions based on requests from the membership. These include:
Policy Writing (With Ex-Welsh Lib Dems Policy Officer, Morgan Griffith David)
How to write Policy Motions to submit to Conference at any level (City/Regional/Federal) and increase the chances of it being accepted.
Pastoral Care (with Jeanne Tarrant, Pastoral Care Officer from HQ)
An update and training on pastoral care best practise and procedures - focussing on areas requested from your feedback.
Pre-Conference Fringe: ALTER (with William Davison)
"There's more to ALTER than Land Tax" A look at the different areas of taxation that ALTAR are campaigning about.
Electoral & Campaign Compliance (with Party Compliance Officer, Darren Briddock)
Very important session covering procedures to be followed for campaigning and elections - we encourage every local party to send a representative. Please note you do not have to be planning to be an agent/candidate - it's just important that each party has someone with this update.
Boundary Review (with Boundary Review Rep, Alan Fox)
Latest update on the progress of the Boundary Review for all members.
Media Lounge - call in for advice on handling/getting the most out of media interaction
We're aiming to give the opportunity for members to get a filmed interview so that they can improve their technique. Details to be confirmed. "Can you beat our Journo" competition! Watch this space for details.
Getting Your Data (with Ed Fordham)
A fast paced run through about all the data that we can collect and how that is right in front of us!
Upon reviewing costs and following feedback from members, we are proposing the following feedback from members we will be offering a "first time to conference" rate of £1.00 so the ticket prices will be as follows:
