High Peak Liberal Democrats
The Lib Dems have never been needed more than they are today - but if we want to face up to that challenge, we're also going to need to do better than we've ever done before.
Written together with Mark Pack, editor of Lib Dem Newswire, our strategy Reinventing the Liberal Democrats sets out a plan for how to do it: how to build a party powered by its members, equipped with a clear inspirational purpose, supported by a family of like-minded organisations, and brought up to date for the digital age.
Vince Cable, in his foreword, writes: "This excellent pamphlet tells us how to raise our game; how to combine clarity and simplicity of message with the best which social media campaigning can offer. I want to see us put this pamphlet into practice. It will have my full support."
We hope you like it as much as Vince does! Let us know what you think of it.
Our pamphlet sets out our ideas, and you may have seen Paddy Ashdown's own ideas over on Lib Dem Voice.
But what are your ideas? Paddy and I are running a fringe event at Conference challenging you to share your big idea for how to reinvent the party and surge ahead in British politics. We'll invite you to pitch your idea to everyone else in the room, then go up and introduce yourself to anyone whose ideas you support.
Come along: the event is entitled Building a Party for Tomorrow, and will take place in the Durley Suite of the Bournemouth International Centre, at 1pm on Saturday 16th September (that's tomorrow!).
