Southport Conference Briefing - download now
The Liberal Reform Southport Conference Briefing is now ready to download here with useful analysis on the motions and consultation papers brought to Lib Dem conference. You can get a hard copy from stand 20 and we'll be distributing them outside the conference centre.
We received strong support for our vital amendments on F15 Party Strategy and F4 Local Government and Housing. If you signed them, thank you, they were successfully submitted today. If selected, we will present a strong case for conference to accept our amendments. If you're making it to conference, do help support these amendments by submitting a speakers card and voicing your view.
We'll provide you with our e-briefings during conference so you don't miss anything important - we know lots of people can't come and are busy campaigning.
Liberal Reform Drinks - Saturday 10th March, 8-9pm Ramada Plaza Bar
We will be meeting for informal drinks in the bar of the Ramada Plaza in the Marine Brasserie area from 8-9pm on Saturday. Please come and say hello. We would be interested in your thoughts on the party's position and the role LR can play in its future.
Fringe Event - Saturday 10th March, 9.30-11pm, Ramada Plaza, Hesketh 2
The Northern Powerhouse: Liberalism enacted, statism writ large or a vacuous slogan? Join Wera Hobhouse MP - Lib Dem DCLG Spokesperson, Laura Gordon - Lib Dem PPC for Sheffield Hallam and Stephen Smith from Transport for the North. Chaired by Liberal Reform board member Tom Morrison.
Whilst the political establishment has had its eyes firmly fixed on the challenges, debates and issues of Brexit, the Northern Powerhouse has silently fallen down the agenda of both the Government and its opposition. Our panel explore where the Liberal Democrats find themselves on this policy agenda.
Say Hello at Stand 20
Please do pay Liberal Reform a visit at stand 20 where you can let us know your thoughts on what the party should be doing. We have a shop where you can get hard copies of our publication on the Sharing Economy (digital version here) as well as "Don't Blame Me - I Voted Remain" badges.
