Hi there Everyone

I've had a few messages and requests from people across the Region so I thought it would be most effective to do a "Chair's Update" for you. So, in no particular order ….

1) "THE BATTLE FOR BROXTOWE"

Broxtowe Liberal Democrats candidates Tim Hallam and David Grindell would very much appreciate your support in their postponed local election for Broxtowe Borough Council on 13th June 2019.

A great opportunity to train up any of your new members in a local seat - there's lots of support in this marginal seat for the Lib Dems, but it needs local voters to get out and make their vote count to stop the Tories. Ring Tim Hallam on 07590 407336 or email: tim@timhallam.uk

2) WIN PETERBOROUGH & GIVE THE BREXIT PARTY ANOTHER BLOODY NOSE

Fancy a chance to volunteer and experience a by-election with a national spotlight? We've had an email from Andy Sangar about the Parliamentary election in Peterborough where he is the agent. You may have seen on the news that their MP was recalled following her conviction after a speeding offence.

New and experienced campaigners welcome in a last push towards the finish line - you can either:

• Go in person: physical volunteers are particularly needed for bundling tomorrow and on Thursday morning to deliver the good mornings. Their HQ is at 4 Cowgate, Peterborough, PE1 1NA Tel: 07305 082735 Open: 10am - 7pm daily From: Friday 25 May - Polling day, 6 June.

3) GREEN LIBERAL DEMOCRATS CONFERENCE - Saturday 15^th June

The Green Liberal Democrats are holding their annual National Conference in Nottingham again this year at the Nottingham University Jubilee Campus. Please click HERE for more information and to see how to book

4) EAST MIDS LEADERSHIP HUSTINGS - Saturday 15^th June

There is a free to attend Leadership Hustings at 6pm after the Green Lib Dems Conference in the same venue. Even though it is free, please click HERE to register to attend so that they have some numbers for catering!
