Victory declared as Govt reverses ban on on-shore wind
Responding to the news that the Government are reversing their ban on on-shore wind, Liberal Democrat Climate Emergency Spokesperson Wera Hobhouse said: 
"This is a victory for climate action campaigners. The Tories' ideologically driven opposition to onshore wind made no sense at all.
"Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for years to lift the ban. We are in a Climate Emergency and we have got to produce a lot more renewable energy to tackle Climate Change.
"We have lost some vital years of progress but let's hope that the UK's onshore wind industry will recover quickly now that the Tories, under huge pressure, have finally changed their mind."
