East Midlands Regional Conference - Policy Motions

As Regional Conference is rapidly approaching, I would like to invite you to submit policy motions for debate at the event on the second day of our Regional Conference - Sunday 22nd November. Please find below the timetable and deadlines for submitting your policy motion:

• The deadline for submissions is 7:00pm on Sunday 15th November 2020. Members and Local Parties who decide to submit motions will be informed by email soon after as to whether or not their submission is to be included in the agenda.
• The deadline for amendments to motions is 7:00pm on Tuesday 17th November 2020, to allow time for amendments to be formatted and the policies circulated to Conference attendees.
• Motions should be submitted to me at: policy@eastmidslibdems.org.uk.

POLICY GUIDANCE

We recommend that your proposed motion should comprise of three sections should form the basis of your proposed motion - these will increase the likelihood of it being accepted for debate:

• Conference calls for:

Motions can be submitted by any two Party members within the East Midlands, any Local Party or by any formally recognised Lib Dem Council Group. Please include:

1. The name of the person submitting the policy and
2. The name of the person who will be summating (summing up) for you

Please note: Motions may not be accepted if you do not!
