High Peak Liberal Democrats"Stay European" Conference
4.00pm - 4.55pm, Saturday 21st November
Green Liberal Democrats - "Europe and the Environment"
Green Liberal Democrats have been asked by the campaigning group "Stay European"* to organise a fringe session for their conference on Saturday 21st November. Rather than keeping the session to themselves "Stay European" have kindly opened the session to others who may be interested. You can register for the conference HERE and a Zoom link will be sent to you for the meeting.
Specifically, it may be of interest to East Midlands Liberal Democrats as it ties in with the EM Regional conference on the same day. Also, GLD members may find the session provides another way for member engagement. But anyone seeing this notice is welcome to extend the invitation to other interested folk. Well over 200 members of the "Stay European" group have already expressed an interest in attending, but as it will be held in a large Zoom Room, getting to the meeting should pose no problem
We have organised an excellent line up of speakers for the event, chaired by Keith Melton, (Current & Founding) Chair of GLD:

[*About "Stay European": Stay European is a UK-based grassroots campaign for individual EU citizenship. It is an independent campaign, not set up by any pre-existing pro-European group, but hoping to work collaboratively with all. Stay European was established in January 2020 and has gathered over 100,000 supporters so far. Our campaign is run by volunteers and has no staff members.]
