Stand up for Carers

When Ed Davey was elected leader he made it clear that the Liberal Democrats will be the Party of carers.
As a carer himself, Ed has seen first hand how difficult life can be for the nine million carers in the UK. They are some of the most overlooked and undervalued people in our society.
That's why I'm proud that next Thursday, Ed will be launching our official campaign to stand up for carers - and you're invited!

Join Ed in conversation with the Party's Vice President Isabelle Parasram and Young Liberals Carers Rep Carol Hayward.
They'll discuss how the Liberal Democrats can deliver for carers, including our latest effort to increase Carers' Allowance by more than £1,000 a year.
The launch event will start on Zoom at 7pm on Thursday 26th November.

This new campaign will be really important for our Party. It gives us an opportunity to promote our positive vision for a more caring society against the Conservatives' cruel agenda.
I hope you'll join us for the launch and make it clear that the Liberal Democrats are fighting for a more caring society.
